Sassaia Description
100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from our vineyards in Capriata D'Orba in the Monferrato region of Piedmont Italy. An intense purple red and characterized by aromas of cassis and anise with hints of blackberry, cherry and spices. Its strong and round character derives from a careful vinification process characterized by manual harvesting, careful selection of the grapes and rigorous temperature control. Ages 12 months in French oak barrels maintained throughout the winter at a controlled temperature of 5 ° C in our cellar. Bottled with the waning moon to favor its predisposition to aging and following a traditional racking without filtration. Decant and serve at 15-18 ° C.
